Data that you share with me
I collect certain information or data about you when you order my research services, whether online or by post:

In order for me to accept and acknowledge your order, I ensure that you have given me clear consent for me to process your personal data for the specific and lawful purpose of carrying out the work. For online orders, this is given by ticking the acceptance of my terms and conditions. Without that, the order is not accepted.
I also receive data about you when you pay my invoice, depending on the payment method you use:

The website also collects data that is used to enable it to work and to collect statistical information for helping me track website usage. This data is not personal in nature but can include your IP address.
Sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and I can’t guarantee the security of your data while it’s in transit. Any data you send is at your own risk.
How I hold this data
Data that you send to to me via the order form is held on my computers and is also stored in encrypted “cloud” storage for backup purposes. This data is only accessible to me and the hosts of that storage.
Data that you send to me via online payment methods is stored by the banks that I employ for the purpose of receiving funds. I am able to see that data by logging into my accounts with those banks. Each bank has its own published data usage and privacy policy which you will be able to find at their websites.
Cookies generated through the use of this website are stored on your own computer and I have no access to them. Statistical data generated is held by my internet service host and is accessible to me by logging into our hosting account.
How I use your data
The data is employed only for the purposes of my core business processes of accepting your order, carrying out the services you have purchased, sending you the results of those services, and developing and maintaining my website.
I do not use your data for any other purposes.
Your data is stored as described above for seven years and is subject to deletion after that time. This is purely to ensure that I can provide evidence of my financial accounting if requested to do so by financial authorities.
Disclosing your information to others
I do not disclose your data to third parties except as outlined above.
Your rights
I am prepared to let you know what data I hold about you, at any time, at your request.
