When you engage us, we both agree to these terms and conditions. Upon your acceptance of the terms of our quotation and our emailed acknowledgement
of your instructions:
We reluctantly require a deposit to be paid to us before we acknowledge your order and commence work. This has been introduced only because of the poor payment record of previous Clients outside the UK. The deposit and how to pay it is defined on our automatic quotation page. Our invoice will give full instructions on how to pay for the work performed. We offer the following payment methods as standard: 1) Using a credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, JCB or Solo), via Worldpay, a secure online payment gateway that requires you to create an accounoperated on our behalf by Bank of Scotland. This method allows you to be billed and pay in Pounds Sterling, Euros or US Dollars. 2) Using a credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Switch or Solo), via Paypal, a secure online payment gateway that requires you to create an account. This method allows you to be billed and pay in Pounds Sterling, Euros or US Dollars. 3) By cheque, drawn on a bank in Pounds Sterling. The performance of our services commences immediately on sending a confirmation
email to you. You may cancel at any time - by email only - up to the point
where the confirmation is sent to you. Cancellation thereafter for any
cause will incur a fixed fee of £30, which will be invoiced to you
by email and is payable on presentation. fourteen/research is a trading name of Milverton Associates Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Registered Office: 8 Overell Grove, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire CV32 6HP. Registered number: 4582510. Your contract for the work is with Milverton Associates Limited and payment is to the company. This gives you all the legal protection you would expect in dealing with a professional business. Deliverables Our default method of delivery of documents is by fully electronic means. Copies of original documents will be from electronic scans produced by the National Archives or digital photographs of originals. Our report to you and our invoice will be in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format. In most circumstances these documents are of a size that can be emailed to you. On occasion, there is too much material to email: we will burn these documents to a CDROM and post it to you.
